I ordered this despite some reviews reporting that the fabric was very thin. I think the thickness is fine, the smoothness of it makes it seem lighter than it is. I think it's just fantastic, so soft and smooth. Not overly warm so a good alternative to terry or flannel options.The design is very traditional with white piping, maybe not my ideal style. I am 5'9" and ordered the XL. The waist tie is a bit high, just above my belly button where Grandpa wore his trousers. I would prefer if the tie were lower so that the very light and flowy fabric was secured slightly closer to the critical exposure area.

This is a nice robe, llittle pricey but the material does feel soft and silky. I am a medium build and it is a little tight when sitting and gaps open. It feels great when walking around. The arm lengths extend down to mid way on my thumbs. A large would probably fit better but the arms might be too long. You need to be slim to wear otherwise it will gap open. I am not fat and have a slight belly and it does feel tight. The material and construction are well designed and the stitching is well done. I like the robe wish it was slightly bigger for the average man.

This lightweight robe has a classic look, is well made and of great quality. It’s also true to the online photos and size. My husband is 6 feet tall and weights 230 pounds and the XL fit him just fine, and is comfortable to wear and feels good against the skin. He took the robe right out of the packaging, and put it on, and didn’t iron it before taking the posted photo, so I’m sure it will look even better once it’s ironed. Thumbs up on this lightweight classic looking robe.
